I noticed one thing. Your coil is labeled in uf and should be in Henries.

Also, if you want some help with the design from others here, you should include the source code, not just the hex file.

This is quite interesting so I think that I'll build one and see how well it works  . Maybe I'll even be able to give you some pointers on it.

I fixed the link for the hex file. Thanks for pointing that out.

No problem

I'll download the Hex file now now but I cant tell when I'll have time to put it together. You should tell us a bit more about the coil, like what is a good size and how many turns to use, what gauge wire did you use on your proto type and how well did it work.

All the best

See? Already the constructive criticism is helping you towards perfection. Now, about the source code . . .

Coil that I made is about 20cm dia and 27 turns of 0,75mm2 plastic insulated electrical installation wire (about 20meters if I remember correctly). The inductance is about 90uH. I made coil frame from wood.

Ask our member and moderator Xavier to point you to his coil making instructions. His coils look like they were factory made by a detector manufacturer. They look really good and aren't that hard to make.

Hi Teemo

What Mosfet did you use? I want to have it like you have it in order to be able to give you constructive feed back. I have most of the components ready for assembly just the PIC and the mosfet that are out standing. Will see if I can do the pcb tonight.  Right now I need to make the coil for my VLF  Smiley

All the best
