Hello Xavier
My latest working prototype have K2134 mosfet, Vds=200V Rds=0,3Ohm TO220 package

Earlier version, with same schematic had K2098 mosfet. It also worked well, but this was on prototyping board, not the correct pcb.

Those MOSFETs I just had laying around, probably I got those form some crap TV board. It is unlikely that you will find the exact same type. For now i can only suggest that you use one with similar characteristics. Of cource pay attention that pinout is the same. But they most seem to have same pinout.

I already was thinking about that I should choose some new commonly available mosfet, but had no time to do that.

Thanks for your interest. I hope you can get it working.
And any tips and instructions from you about coil making are also welcome.

Use the search feature at the top and search for coil making with Xavier being the author. You'll have to use the advanced search for that.

He wrote a long article here on the subject with some nice pictures. Well worth finding.

Just remember that the molding clay dose shrink a bit but once you have a master you can make as may molds as you like.

Thanks, old buddy. I tried my own search and came up with nothing. I gave some bad advice but at least the search function is working now.

I now selected IRL630 for official mosfet to use with my project. I have not tested it out yet, but those who are building already should prefer this.

Thanks for the direct link Xavier. Very nice coil you made there:)

GD link for the Goldpic3 do not work today, but I have seen that already. As I recall it used PIC only for the pulse timing.

Yes I was rather pleasantly surprised when saw it come up with a result and not an error  Smiley It took me a while to find it though  Grin I also build a PI using a PIC. I used a 16f690 for the simple reason that I had one, and non other, there is still work to be done on it but it does work although not well yet.

Thanks Teemo. I will get the fet as soon as possible, unfortunately I can't plan in advance for this kind of thing.

He's supposed to have corrected it. I believe you right click on the file name and use the Save As feature of your browser.
