Literature says "a 3.75" serrated blunt tip blade made of stainless steel" and "has an overall length of 8.25", and weighs 5.1 ounces."

I bought it locally and have never used it since I have a couple of other knives and diggers. AT the time I paid $40 for it.

Anyway here's a chance for someone to profit from my loss.     Angry

$30 paypal and it's shipped straight to you.

It's a nice knife for the river.  I have two of them on my rescue PFD, one with a blunt tip for cutting trapped people out of gear without stabbing a vein, one with a sharp tip for tearing raft tubes or air bags if somebody gets trapped between the boat and an obstruction.  Personally I don't think either one would be a very good digging tool. The blade is just too short for any real work in the dirt, but that's just my opinion, and I must admit I've never tried using my river knives in the dirt.  Gerber makes a fine knife though, that's for sure.

It's definitely an excellent knife for my wilderness EMT and swiftwater rescue use.  The hard sheath has a secure catch on it so that the knife doesn't fall out on it's own, but a swift grab and yank and you have it out in no time.  It's the only river knife I've ever had that I didn't have to secure to it's sheath with a lanyard.  Of course that extra five or ten seconds you have to fumble with a lanyard to get the knife out could cost somebody their life in an emergency, and that's the main reason I use these knives.

The price willieboy is asking for it is good for the quality of the knife.  If I needed another one I'd snatch it up.  You probably won't find another deal like on a brand new one.  I think I paid closer to $45 each for mine by the time shipping was added in.
