Any one have an experience with a 10.5 inch loop for the fisher cd-3d?   How much depth can you detect?  I love the wider area for scanning, but didnt know if there would be any noticeable depth.   Was thinking of getting one within the next two weeks.

i have the stock 8 inch.  It works great.   I was wondering if its worth the money if the depth is only a inch or a inch and a half more.  The scanning area will be greater so I can cover move desert ground, but its the depth I was wondering.

Hi SG1 well with a 10" coil you should get another 1.5 to 2" but if the ground is not to hot with minerals try and get a 12" concertric and that should get you about another 4". If they don't make a 12" concertric then look at the 10x12 or 15x12 DD coils from detech
those will work better in hot ground ,OK

Hi there i think we've got crossed up abit ,am i right in thinkin that you want to fit garrett coils on a fisher
coz they might work but if the wiring is'nt the same and the frequencies and wide apart they won't work, you might be better off
finding something that does match

I was looking at the fisher stock 10.5 inch coil that is for the CZ-3d.  They make 3 coils.. a 5, 8 and 10.5.   If they have after maket coils that work on the fisher cz-3d I would like to look at them if they will work

Well get the 10.5 the should be good fer 10 to 12" on coin size targets and alot deeper on bigger things, i think somewhere i got the
the UK field test on that machine, as for other coins you can try the detech coils if the frequency is right and they make em up to 21x18
thet should make sleep well
