Check out the stealth scoop.

Checked it out. Still not a Howie. Price is steep. $190 & no handle. No free shipping.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

I met Howie in Miami and checked out his scoop, It's pretty nice. I wanted to purchase one from him but the stars did not line up. however....................... I took a chance and purchased a stainless steel scoop on eBay.  I watched a video on YouTube and I was sold. I detect the Florida coast weekly and I love the scoop! It will give me many years of good digs. Here is the link to EBay . Ships worldwide too.

Okay, after reading thru all the above replies, I assume the Howie Scoop is no longer being manufactured. Anybody care to confirm?

I think you can take it that the person has no interest in selling these things because if he did then he would reply to every ones posts.

Just look at the original one and build one yourself. That is not patent infringement, unless you try to sell it or a bunch of them. If you can't weld, there are a bazillion people out there that can and will not charge too much.

Great idea Karl. Just send that original post to him, and I  am sure he can do it. All of the dimentions are in the text as well as 3 excellent photos. I plan on buying all the materials, and have sombody weld it up for me. I  don't have a welder. I  plan on using it in the tot lots. Good luck.
