Go Up Go Down

I'm planning some ghost towning trips this summer and am looking for a good backup detector.
Preferably something lightweight, with pinpointing ability.   It gets extra points if it breaks down well to be attached to a backpack.

I'll post more on the models I'm considering, as I get closer to going.

My ideal detector (what I'm really looking for, but can't afford at any price I've seen so far)
is a Fisher CZ-3D.   Not that it fits my description above, but just that I've always wanted one.

But please, message me with suggestions, and if you have a whole bunch of detectors, and you have one lying around that you've been thinking of shedding for a few years but were "waiting for a sign"..... here's a sign.  I'm interested.

Prices negotiable, and I have some fun items for trade as well.

Cheers

Chris

Tesoro---Cibola  may be exactly what you are looking for unless you are also tied to a visual display (it has the benefits of being a decent nugget hunter too).   The other Tesoro's are also worth looking at.

The Garrett AT-Pro is another good candidate as are both the Fisher F5 and F70.

What is going to be your main targets you will be searching for in the ghost towns?  Relics?  Coins?  Gold?  Caches?   That my affect which detector with your criteria you might want to get, too!          Detecting

That's a good question.   I'm looking for 2 detectors I suppose, a backup and a gold detector.  For the backup i' looking for coins And caches mostly, tho I do like to hit beaches here and there, but that will be a whole other detector unless I can get ahold of a used cz3d

Look into the Garrett AT-Pro.      Water tight to 10ft.    15Khz is good for gold.
