Hi , friend
I decide to build a 1500eti detectors , and i found a problem on my workshop , what is wrong is that in this MD use styroseal capacitors and i didn't found it in my workshop , I ask you help me which capacitors can i use instead of this type.

Styroseal is a brand name. Use Mylar.

It depends mostly on the operating frequency and the ambient temperature. Staying within design specs is advisable. I'd spend a few cents on Mylar instead of risking problems during your power up testing.

All film type capacitors are multilayer. Ceramics are not, for example, nor are plate capacitors. Electrolytic capacitors are multilayer foil. Mylar capacitors are. Because of that, they are very stable in a circuit and quite reliable. Not all multilayer capacitors are Mylar.

Just buy some, please. You are wasting time trying to find a substitute. Or, just substitute and live with the consequences.

MD Capacitors are constructed using one layer of tissue paper and one level of plain Polypropylene movie as dielectric between two electrodes of broad supple annealed, 99.35% purity of Aluminum foil and have extended foil construction.
