Well i decided i'm going with the Tesoro Golden Sabre plans(or the Lobo.. still haven't quite decided..) and i was wondering what the cheapest, most effective way to print the PCB board is. pad2pad.com seems cool. But i also own an Epson Stylus CX6000 printer. does anyone know of any compatible cartridges for this printer? or would it be more cost effective to just get pad2pad.com or someone cheaper to do it?
Thanks fellow THunters!

If you're planning on making your own try this stuff:

It can be done using photo printing paper and a clothes iron, but it's very much dependent on the type + brand of paper and the type/brand of printer ink you're using. I've had experiences ranging from terrible to ok using the photo paper method. Never any particularly good results though. As far as what is compatible it's mostly trial and error. I found some older posts referring to a type of paper that staples used to carry, and the better stuff for circuit prints was actually the cheapest of the three grades of paper that they sold. Unfortunately they don't sell that particular type of paper anymore and the cheap stuff they have now isn't great. I tried it with HP ink, which supposedly is better than the off brand stuff.

The press n peel blue is made for the job and will save you a lot of trial and error and avoid a big headache.

There are a few companies will print your board for you and will do a marvelous job, but for a single board it can be a little pricey. I think they're usually around $30-50 for the first board because of the setup process, but boards after that are pretty cheap. They usually require the circuit drawn up in a particular format, and they'll often supply a demo version of the required software that will enable you to draw up a schematic, albeit to a limited size (I think around a 3 or 4" circuit board).

Hope this helps a bit,
Paul

You may want to take a look here if you want to build the Golden.    This is a Version based on the Tesero Golden Sabre.

I'm liking that price, but what about it's quality? i couldn't find a review of this kit. I'm worried it'll come with cheap-o parts.

I bought the Surf PI kit.  No way I could Scrounge or ship and buy the part for the price I paid.

The Board is way better then I could make.

If your that worried about it, Just Buy the dang thing.    Good God!

I received Multi Turn Pots that I was not going to use.

Nothing in the kit was of a quality I would not have used.

you will find 1% items not required on items.

This is a QUALITY KIT.

Sense Day one of him opening the store, I have NEVER  EVER seen any complaints.

You Can Not, compile the parts for the price never mind with a first class board.

This guy is a Member of this and other Self build forums and is just trieing to make things easer for the popular projects.

I Really don't think he is making any money on this.   Even the shipping is way under the bar.

My order shiping was like $4.00 from the UK and I received it in two weeks.

Denizen, Silverdog has his roots right here. Look up the user name and see his posts. His kits are top quality. I have 6 of his boards, two of which are full kits. Excellent quality.

No coil but there is a web site where the coil construction is described in detail. Use your Google skills, mate.

you can find coil housings here.       You Really need to read the Post of the Build before jumping.
