The $16.95 "Centech" [made in china] pin-pointer I bought from Harbor Freight tools a few years ago uses the tip of the probe . Works very good for the price !! Still running off the 1st 9 volt battery too.

the Whites bullseye II uses the Tip and about 3/8" of the side of it when you test them at low Gain but when you turn them up that covers a wider area.

IUpgraded my Centronics with a vibrator motor and a new switch, but was a waste of time and money. They are too drifty. Gave it away as a door prize at the prospectors club and bout my Vibraprobe 580 for $125 and have never looked back.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

G'day RidgeRunner,
I need to go out and buy a new Pinpointer for this season as my older squarebox whites was in the garage and ran over, so I was hoping that you could give me 2 top-choices to go and take a look at?

Many thanks mate,
Jim
