Hello all im new here and have introduced myself in introductions  Waveing

Now i'm from Australia and our ground here is heavily mineralised and a lot of the VLF machines are ineffective in the goldfields of Western Australia but great in parks and beachs.

I want to know how the old Goldmaster V/SAT handles high mineralisation and how you guys think this machine will run in the Australian outback. Most guys down here run the Minelabs but they are out of my price range and i have never been big on jumping on the band wagon.

Would really appreciate some information on this machine, being a complete novice it's all a bit over my head right now until i get some skills under my belt.

From the land down under  Waveing

These are some terrific machines with decent pricing. Ring them with any questions you have. You may recognize Jack Lange's name from his books, videos and magazine articles in Australian GG&T Magazine.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Thanks Golddigger for the reply mate.

It's good to here an Aussie say these are a good machines. Im still looking at getting one, i got aout bid last night with 3 seconds left of an auction.. Wasn't happy, i will keep looking. I presume the GM3 is just as good as the V/SAT?

As far as comparisons go, I can't help you because I've never spoken to anyone who owned both. But nobody has much bad to say about them with the qualifying comment of "for the price" added. Everyone I know, with one exception, is off Minelab because of their price gouging. There's no way that machine is worth $6k over another model that will detect gold just as well for under $500.

G-DAY GD, I owned the 3500, Now i've got the GMT because there is alot more smaller bits out there but the bigger the gold the deeper it goes, where the mineralization changes alot you will here it alot more with the GMT ,I bought the MXT,and i was so impressed that i was based on the GMT I just had to go and buy the GMT as well and it is only in the very worst conditions that you'd need a P.I.
But most of all check out the whites TDI or the TDI PRO they are a PI unit and most of the coiltek and minelab coils fit them, whites make coils called Aussie coil with a single field that are surposed to work better, theres duel field from whites, you could buy the TDI plus the gmt for less than half the price of the minelab and when you dig that biggun send me a picture. all the best, john

PS> check out AMD, Alaskan mining and diving and somewhere Steve H does reviews on all the machines also checkout a story called whites electronics in Alaska this helped me and it still gives me a boost when the finds are gettin abit low
