anyone has the new whites V3? been told the pin pointing on a target is not good?Huh? true?

ive had the v-3 for 3 months now but i also have the dx-1 pin pointer which helps a lot

i changed out the stock coil with the 6 x 10 coil and i have been able to pin point very well with it

Pin pointing is no problem. Once you locate a target, get you lowest reading in inches and leaving the coil on the ground, turn 90 degrees and move coil to get the lowest reading again.
The target will be right under the ears of the coil.

i didn't notice problems in pinpointing, but I DID notice that the increased price doesn't mean better performance.

I just didn't see an increase over the DFX which justified the price.
I wasn't impressed with it, and in fact I think it focuses on flash and "cool factor" over solid improvements in performance and discrimination.

In my oppinion the V3 has better depth than the DFX and some good features to it but also takes quite some time to learn it.
