White's Spectrum

I just bought a used White's Spectrum and can not get it to turn on.  It worked when I bought it but now I get nothing.  Does anyone know of a repair shop in the Baltimore MD or York PA area?  The manual indicates it could be a fuse but I see no fuse and I am clueless - just starting out.  Thanks.

The batteries? Checked them? That's the first thing to do. If they are not fresh, get some fresh ones and try again. Get back to us if that doesn't help.

I have the same problem. New batteries but no display. It powers up and works just fine, just no display.

Yes - I actually did do this, hoping that it was that simple.  No luck.

OK, new batteries no help. Next step is to check all mechanical connections. Look at the battery wires, then remove, inspect and replace the coil connector. Look at the pins while you have it open to be sure they are not corroded. If they are, use alcohol and a toothbrush to clean them then try checking it again after they are dry. Just a couple of seconds should dry them after the alcohol wash.

Then, get back to us. You're not out of options yet.

You will find a ribbin cable going to the dispay.   Don't pull it out just move it around a bit.
