German 7.92mm machine gun or K98 ammo ? Maybe they are the same,i found these 87 rounds a few days ago.

This is 8mm mauser. (7.92x57) Used in k98 and also in machineguns. I am a collector of firearms and ammo of this type.

Too bad i can't keep them withouut a special permission,anyway-everybody tells me that they are dangerous and "unstable" looking like this !

I'm not sure on the legality in your part of the world, and I can't load the photo for some reason, but there is little that would make unspent cartridges "unstable" short of putting them in high heat, running current through them, or applying focused pressure on the end of the casing.

even if they did " go off " with out a barrel to to direct the gasses all that would happen is a nice bang and the projectile would pop off, i used to be a real menace with a hammer and ammo as a child, oh and dont forget the flash cause it can burn.
