As I can not get out just yet I have been putting some collections? together, every time I visit the UK in my area I find hundreds of pieces of AA shrapnel so I put some better pieces into display cabinets the fuses for the type 199 I have restored to show what they looked like all those years ago, it was a fun project.....HH.....Johnnn

Fuses are incredible  Cool things you can find.

Just think of all the  Machining, Assembly,  Building the  Clock Works for timing, Altitude sensor's (Bulb type Altimeters) , Later Proximity Sensors  (Radio Transmitter and Receiver) , some gals handling the Percolate Priming charges  ( More then a Few was Killed) , In the money of the time, that fuse cost more then some people made in a a Month.  From out of the box to end of there job was less then 10 Seconds.  How many Millions was blasted up.   Bad Note:   Everything that goes up has to come down.  How many cars, houses, horses, cows got smacked by them coming down?    99% missed the target.   That's a butt load of stuff coming down.    Side Side Note:  When I was in Turkey the Turkish Air Force would fly over our base housing shooting at a towed target.   When the .50 cal brass came raining down, you ran for anything harder then you.
