Ok Minelab fans. What's your take on the promised new Minelab Equinox? Looks like 2 models the second adding gold programs. Like anything else new it is just vapor until they start shipping.  Think we will see it in 2017?

I use to like their gear but they stopped making the Musketeer Advantage and there other machines just don't work in junk filled site, and when someone showed me what the MXT could do I have never looked back.

Minelab Produces some of the Best machines on the market to be sure but as a Company  they fall short in some major ways.

There Products cost twice that of any comparable machines.  Any of there products are over the top.

Lack of support for machines not even 6 years old is a Killer.  I don't know of any other Manufacture that does that to their customers.

When I buy a Car I expect to be able to work on the thing.  It's MY Car.   You buy a Minelab they sabotage that Idea by using conformance paint on the PCB's.  They won't even supply a schematic on their Obsolete Machines.

Discontinued Products

As new technology is developed and improves upon the performance of our current product range, Minelab discontinues our older product models. These products are listed on this page alphabetical order for your reference.

We aim to service and support all of our older products for as long as possible. All products are supported for a period of at least 5 years after they are discontinued.  Unfortunately with some of these older detectors it becomes impossible to source the parts required for service work and so the detectors eventually become uneconomical to repair.

If you require information about our older products, please Contact Us directly.

I've always preferred to buy AMERICAN when ever possible.  Tesoro, Whites and Garrett will work on machines twice that old or more without issues if parts can be had.
