Does any one know if there is a way to tell the age of a machine?Huh?
ser.# or any other kind of method to identifiy the age?Huh?

The quick answer is to photograph it and post the picture here. Also, send a copy to Minelab and ask them to help. They're good at responding to questions.

Just remember that they are half a world away in a different time zone. Also, January 26th is Australia Day - like our 4th of July. This year, Monday the 22nd was the official government holiday but a lot of people there still celebrate it on the real date.

Be patient for an answer from Minelab. Here, you may get one minutes after you post the picture.

Most Serial Numbers have a Rhym or Reason scheme.

Unit Number, Month , Year or something.
