Best underwater Lube is called Christo Lube  it works easily into teh rubber o ring  and cause them to swell slightly.  best thing thiough is to change any o rings that can be freely changed  and use the chirsto lube for longevity.  It does not leave that sand atracting slime that most silicone does. It is a high end dive lube  used in regulators
