Yeah $10,500 Aus ( this the Assumed price ) is a lot of money but if all the hype is correct then these detectors could be the equivalent of opening up a new Gold rush . 40% extra depth is huge if correct , there are plenty of large nugget grounds here in Oz that have been flogged with every machine ever conceived , I think there will be smart operators who will recoup their outlay in real quick time , interesting times ahead methinks ..cheers Mick

My TDI Sl Has the edge over the ATX On Depth, But I know what you mean, I am Seriously thinking about Getting The ATX and I have it saved to my favourites just in case I get the Urge to Splurge So to Speak.

I like it  but  i think it would be nice to borrow a loaner or demo  or at least test drive one  since they are that expensive . but if the electronics are solid as the housing and the rest look on the ATX  i think its a good one  we understand that we can  operate  ours  good  because we know our machines and understand  how they work  and generally  we can out do some of the better ones in some cases  i think with this one once you got it figured out and the capibilities   from using it  it would be a dandy . but dont let me steer you  towards or away from anything  its just my opinion . others may point out things we are over looking   and man i gotta be the clumsiest  person sometimes  slippin and falling tripping or whatever  so i encourage or lean towards   tough equipment .  my daddy said i could tear up an anvil with a rubber mallet    and i like how it collapses  looks easy to hual or pack in some were or travel with   good stuff  R.R.

May be you can  be the first one finding a gold field.
Just the thought its worth  the $10k

I can just see the headlines now. "Ct detectorists finds new $100/100,000 ton goldfield in his back yard with a $12,000 detector." Grin Grin Grin

And a black Lab at that. I would have called it "Cat", but that's so last century. Grin. Hey Melanie just had a birthday Feb 3rd. Let's all sing "Candles in the Rain" Grin Grin

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Happy Birthday Melanie,

In the UK at the Current Exchange Rate they Are Charging £8000.00 or $15,760.ooc  AUD or $12,320.oo USD,  I don't know why minelab in Ireland are charging us 50% extra compared to what the are charging in Australia @$10,700.00 AUD.

All I can say is to EVERYONE In The EU is NOT TO BUY IT because minelab EU is Ripping Everyone Off.

NOTICE:- You can fly to Australia and Buy it and Still Save £1700-£1900.00,  Don't be Foolish to buy it In the EU unless they Lower to Price to the Correct Australian Price.
