Well alot of people in England are using their SEs as backups,so it looks like the Etrac is Minelabs flagship.
The Etrac has only one coil from minelab, but the firm SEF from France has coils that work with it.

The SE Pro and Etrac are IMHO as good as it gets on small gold BUT.....small gold chains and broken chains are almost undetectable. Your best bet, when you find something that had to have been hung on a chain (locket, cross, etc.) put your machine in 'all metal' with fairly low disc. with high gain and go low and slow, all around the...locket. Dig anything that beeps within 4 inches of the surface.

It's looking better and better to me all the time. I've been searching for field reports and they're slowly coming in. Almost all positive.

Perhaps those here who have one can answer a few questions for me. How is the user PC program interface? If it gets messed up in the field, is there a reset that returns the unit to a usable mode? Can you save your programs to a thumb drive that can be plugged into the unit?

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.
