Hello Johnlaw

I used to be a Minelab dealer. The factory coil that comes with the SE Pro is a great coil. Sun Ray coils are great coils, but I cant say that they would be any better than the Minelab coils. When I am at sites with lots  of targets I run my E-Trac with a 5" Sun Ray x-5 Stealth coil. The smaller coil gives me better seperation of targets than the larger factory coil. Unless there is a big weight diff. between the two I would stick with the Minelab coil. The SE Pro is a great Machine. Great Good hunting

Todd

Todd........Thanks for the info on the 8 inch coils. I'll take your advice and stick with the factory coil. It does seem to work very well.         John in Va

I have the minelab 8 and I like my Pro coil better, maybe look into a 6in if you want something smaller.

Thanks for your input PG,,,,,After using the 8" coil for a month or so I find that it works better in sites where you have a lot of targets close together. I'm working an area like that now and when I clean out some of the close knit targets I'll come back with the Pro coil.. John in Va..
