Is the Musketeer series, whether it be Advantage or what, actually my all rime favorite Minelab is a Musketeer Colt, just 2 knobs, very simple and does great, mainly because i dig EVERYTHING  anyhow, and all the numbers and ID cannot distinguish between a good necklace and a junker, at present i do not own a ID detector, i just dig it all anyhow=that's the way i am, all the other Minelabs are all right for many people, but they just don't work out for me, been detectin since 1975, and numbers and ID just don't fit my style Smiley

yea boog,

i had a couple posts somewhere on here talkin bout using the dig it all technique.

been full circle with that.

first started swingin ,i'd dig everything. thought i hated the junk digging.but after a few years of blowing off junk sounds ~ learned to dig it all.who knows what i passed up as a discriminating fool. Grin

couple recent junk signals

I'm in total agreement if you are saying that a person who KNOWS his/her $300 machine will beat the socks off an amatuer with a $1200 machine. But....After the learning curve, The Minelab Explorer is hard to beat.

After 45 years with Fisher, White's, Garret and Minelab, my vote is in.  I own an Explorer XS. My next two (one for me, one for my wife) machines will be Explorer SE's. I live 48 miles from the White's plant and...they aren't even on my short list. I don't find it that hard to deal with Australia or a Nevada middleman when I get to use the machine of the century(21st.).
