How much is the E-TRAC, in US$??  Detecting

I looked at the catalogue request, but they want to know my life history... they need to have a PDF catalog, and a simple email form, I sure dont want my name on the world's mailing list.

took the x-terra down to the park to night,keept it in factory settings,went over an area I bashed with the fisher,the area is very clean,I had ca 200 coins (old and modern) and some jewellery finds from this area of the park with the f2,wow the minelab gave some surpriseing results,5 old coins 1908 to 1924,nothing special,copper pfeinnings,3.90euro(7 coins),junk gold plated chain,I think most of these coins where on there side,only problem is the pinpointing,well I will take back what I said first about this Detector,,,I still have alot to learn with this machine,,,I think this "could" be a good field relic hunting detector.....mikek

There have been discussions here and on other forums describing how to pinpoint with a Double D coil. If you've not used one before, it can take some practice. In a nutshell, the search pattern is more like a blade or fin on a surfboard that runs directly down from the intersection of the two coils which is also a linear pattern from the bottom of the coil to the top. When you find a target, turn the detector 90 degrees and do it again. The crossover point is the location of the target. Try it with an item on the surface and practice until you get the concept. Some people get good enough to use a single, figure 8 search pattern when they find a target. The figure 8 is the equivalent to shifting the coil to 45 degrees versus 90. Practice first at 90 and then graduate to the less cumbersome 45 degrees.

Don't despair. You have a premium machine there.

mikek;

OK, a bit pricey, for me, it would be around $620 to $630 Canadian, not counting shipping. Do you think it would be worth it??

mikeK;

I have to take the value of the pound, in $US, then divide by $Can in US funds, to get a pound in Can dollars..... Last time I looked, the pound was $1.65 (close to) US, and the $Can was $0.9211US, multiply this by 349 pounds, I get $625.17 Can and the bank adds about 5% so that makes it $656.43.  the duty is quite low, but there is 7% GST (same as VAT,) and even if there is NO duty, they charge $5 for a basic fee. I have not mentioned shipping, probably another $30, at least. So, say $732.39, give or take $10.

If I could find it for $500 Can, here, I should grab it.... right.

So, I wonder how it is priced in the US?? Its made in the US, isn't it (or China?)

Hello Everyone . Last I heard all Minelab Models are manufactured in Australia . They do have a big Distribution center 15 miles from me , in Las Vegas . One of these days I will go check them out , I heard they do have a showroom ?   Anyway the Minelab E-TRACS price is around $1498.00 US dollars or 1064.52 Euros and British 918.57 GBP . I am pretty they have dealers in Europe , England so the shipping should be cheaper than if you bought one from the "Big K" , that is "if" they ship over-seas ?
HH........Best Regards.......Eugene
