The Safari is a pretty solid metal detector with good depth and well built. You can't go wrong with it.

Best wishes,

Christian

Hello cal1062 . Like everyone says the Minelab Safari is a very good choice . It has taken the place of the discontinued Minelab Quattro !!!  The Quattro had some problems so the Safari is the improoved version , with "all the bugs corrected" ........More opinions or comments on the "Safari"  are very welcome here !!!

 Great..............Eugene52

Due to a very slow recovery speed, the Quattro can only be used at places with few iron trash. I use mine with no problems on clean wet sand beaches, and I do this in the all metal setting.

Now, amongst othe minor changes, the Safari has an improved (impressive) recovery speed, and that makes it a very good choice.

I am always amazed at how BBS/FBS machines do find things other detector missed. It's those 17 or 28 frequencies, nothing else !

HH
