Today I found out (the hard way) that the Koss waterproof earphones have a very very very low volume threshold.  Volume level at 30 and whispers come out only for good target. That is bullshit for a windy and wavy day at sea.

What detector are you using?

Are they Hard Wired or Plug in HeadPhones?

i am using the Minelab ctx3030 . Plug in Headphones 8 pin jack. With regular earphones no problem at all. A possible solution might be a mini adaptor from 8 pin to regular jack an use the regular hole . Ctx 3030 has 2 earphone inlets ( or out's).

Alot of people that use the CTX 3030 have experienced problems with the minelab Headphones, Many have fixed their problems by changing to a Headphone called " Gray Ghost " made by Detector Pro, they are completely waterproof.
