Just joined the forum. Is there anyone from Minnesota here? I'd love to hear from anyone with any tips or suggestions. I'm a complete newbie in this hobby,but want to learn all I can.

Thanks for the replies! I'm in Hastings, have hunted the parks & schools in and around Cottage Grove, Newport, etc. This will be my 3rd season, can't wait to try new spots!

I'm from Saint Paul, MN and had a spot of good luck so far. How about you this season? What kind of detector do you use? I have a Bounty Hunter Pioneer 505 and a Whites Coinmaster (Still learning the last one as I just bought it used for 30 dollars.) Minnesota is a great state for detecting.

I did apply for and receive a permit to hunt in the Saint Paul parks and now I'm just itching to get out there and do some hunting! Just have to wait for an off work day. Wink

I'm from southern MN. I have hunted the area parks, school playgrounds, and campgrounds in the New Ulm area.
