This one was found at an old ranch house near my Grandmother's house in Benson, AZ.

I used some brass polish on the old tax token I think...found it when I was a kid and didn't know any better.  The old Mexican coin I can't remember but I usually used a toothbrush with soap/water.  The 3 coins I got at the old ranch house I don't remember cleaning.  They were in a tin can, like a sardine can, with the top sealed back on with lead or solder.  I found it in the old fireplace. There were some old US coins in with them, and also two little quartz rocks with gold which I turned over to my Grandmother, along with some of the old US coins.  Wish I knew where he found the gold!

Down around Benson, the gold sample might have come from just about anywhere.  That whole area was pretty active even prior to the Civil War.   There are a couple of lost mine stories coming out there.
