I'm looking for help for my TF-900. Anyone have one, where they could answer a couple questions?
Thanks,
jim

I have a TF900, but am not an electronics techie. Maybe you could just ask the questions and someone may jump in to help?

Yeah...Good morning.
I bought this 900 from a guy, that purchased it from Discovery, after they had shut down. He never really used it.
I don't know anything about it, but when I turn it to "battery check", you get loud sound from the speaker, like you've found metal.
Also, when you're walking, and detecting, you'll get alotta false readings.
White's took a look at it, but didn't have any schematics, and sent it back to me.
I appreciate your help,
jim

Here's a link to download the TF900 user manual:

I have the user manual...If you would answer this: when you turn the select switch/knob to "battery check", does your 900 let out a pro longed screech?

It's more of a rather loud "BAWWWWWWW" sound than a screech, when you've got healthy batteries.

Fantastic...that's what I wanted to know.
I said "screach" because I didn't know how to spell "BAWWWWWWW".
How do you like your TF-900? Have you had a chance to use it much? Have any instructions for somone like me, who has no experience with a 2box?

Onomatopoeia can be hard at times.
Best thing I can say to u at this point is to read the manual and practice. Also get used to the types of clay which can give off false alarms. Know what size targets this detector can and cannot detect. In shallow/dried-up streams that have a hard bedrock bottom, it's a good prospecting tool for finding and "following" the streaks of black sands; that's my main use of it these days.

Hi Guys

I don't think that I've ever met any one using the two box detector yet. I was thinking of building one but because I have no clue of what it can or cant do I dropped the idea. Perhaps you can enlighten me more on the subject.

All the best and HH
Xavier
