Hi guys, I am just giving you an update on my soldering skills  Huh? OK that butane soldering iron which I put a picture up yesterday of turned out to be as much use as a chocolate fire guard or an ashtray on a motorbike  Shocked  Angry  Angry because it didn't have  any electronic ignition and you had to light it with a cigarette lighter and it just wouldn't light at all  Sad  Angry  Angry so off I went for another long drive to Maplin in search of another new soldering iron but this time I bought a plug in type as opposed to a butane gas operated one  Cool  Cool

Now I have just changed the wires over and all is working good again  Cool  Cool and to think the quote that I got for repairing them from the company down in the south of England was £45.00 + parts + labour + VAT + postage in all it would have cost me around £75.00 maybe more ?? which in US Dollars is $107.08  Shocked or in Australian Dollars is $143.75 AUD and apart from having to buy a new soldering iron, the only cost for me was the new female jack plug which cost me £1.79 or $2.56 US or $3.43 AUD which is one hell of a saving  Cool Cool or rather one hell of a rip off from the company down south  Shocked  Angry  Angry

Its too late to go out now as it will be getting dark in about two and a half hours from now and I'm going back to work tomorrow until next Wednesday but watch this space for more on how I get on with my newly repaired Tesoro Cibola which I can't wait to use  Tongue  Smiley  Smiley
