I need to hear more about why a lithium battery craps out when charged @ 90 degree f or above. I use a lot of them in my work and they aren't cheap.

The Biggest Killer of Lithium batteries is Running them down to Far, Unlike Ni-Cads that can increase their voltage/storage, Lithium and NiMh Batteries don't do that but the Up side to Lithium and NiMh Batteries can be charged at any state of Charge.

I've had more then a few issues with heat.    Most ended with the Battery not charging at all.

Try charging  NiMh Battery after you left them in the truck and they froze.

Great read Homie! I see several errors in the way I treat these batteries.

Yes it can happen. I hope all of you are practicing battery safety as well as conservation. I used to use the steel wool thingy 50 years ago with dry cells. Whoops I gave away my age again.  Shocked.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

burning leg? that used to happen at times to me from my zippo lighter, when I carried one. Lighter fluid, bad of the bones! And, speaking of those matchs...keep um out of reach from mice. They can egnyte them as well...  After you told me about that fire Karl, I went straight to the drawer and made sure the 9 volt's are safe,
