 Detecting My 8 year old wanted to start detecting with me so I got her a £50 cheapo from maplin and the coil lead had broke so they gave me a new one and they said I could keep the broke one if I wanted as it will only go in the bin my question is as it seems good on the wet stuff can I make a bigger coil for it their is about 5/6 fine wire Idea

  Don't get mad.  It's not worth the Effort.  Buy time you spend the time and Effort you could buy her a Garrett 150 or 250.     !00lb detector and your ahead.
