sure, you need to build 2 coils (looking for the correct values) then you have to put in D shape.

the DD or the two D coil is mainly used for PI and the VLF type of detectors but manufactures of Md mix
the tow types of MD the PI and the two others in one MD for the purpose of getting good results of penetration and pin pointing, that is a guess , technically they can not be combined.

HELLO, FRIENDS,. NEED OF A GOOD TECHNICIAN TO TEACH ME, THE MANUFACTURE, one ,coil DD,METAL DETECTOR (P.I).................. 30 inch S,, DIAMETER
1200 uH -16 R.(16R is the value of ONE COIL, or the total of two? 16 OHM?? OR 1,6 OHM??
HOW MANY ROUNDS OF YARN IN EACH COIL? THICKNESS OF THE SAME?
16 R 1R6 OR, IS THE SAME AMOUNT? OR NOT?

There is no practical way to make a PI coil in a DD configuration. Because almost all PI detectors use a single coil, the two coils will conflict with each other and make a null area right in the center of the coil.

Why are you so focused on making a DD for a PI machine?
