He has better options than USB with I2C being one. Parallel bit control is faster. USB is an interface for human acion devices and not really suitable for a bus structure.

 Grin Grin Grin I was thinking of the P6060 from Oliveti when I wrote that  Grin Grin now that was a heavy machine and you only had only one line of LED display. Now back to my digital cap wana know how I'm going to make it?

hi GD how about using an array of cap aligned in a circle when add up to high value suitable for the VLF,but do they make the field?
am in a part where you can not do any electronics project!!
i waited 6 months to get idx from Silverdog and most of my other detectors i built from my computer scrape boards components.

There are fully encased ICs that do the same thing at hardly any cost.

Yes that is true but my problem is that I cant seem to find any here. So I will make one using a pic and 8 caps by turning on one port at a time I will be able to increase the capacitance. I will need to find a good supplier for my components.
