where would one go beside andersons accsessories to get the same size aluminum tubing without breaking the bank for a strait shaft for the silver umax, the s type shaft gets uncomfortable after about 5 hours swinging, have seen the mods without voiding the warranty, one uses a mountain bike bar end for the control box scheme and looks good too......... Teach

I've made up Replacement shafts with stock from the hardware store.  T-6 Tempered  would work most well for a straight shaft.

You can't bend the stuff.

It breaks first.  Aviation grade.

I would check out SMALL private airports, probably could get a small piece of tubing reasonable from the repair folk, would  make a fun day too Wise

Try asking at a Harware store. I found mine at Leroy Merlin (a DIY store for paints, wood works....)
