   Seen your post of GeoTech.   Any other numbers on chip ?  Agree with Morland some kind of PIC  or Micro Control.  Bet is it's a house number for ATmel or Micro.  Could be just noise getting in like a bad Cap or other.  Bypass the caps with a know good cap and see if it goes away.

Thanks Homefire,

It is a strange one, I removed the MC for experimental purposes, vibration and sound dissapear, LED remains lit. If I knew the exact parts list I would replace the parts one by one. I'm sure i'm not the only one to experience this tye of problem.

I have a voltage output of 4V off pin 4, thing is though, even if I find out the tru ID of the IC, I imagine it would be encrypted.

I will try bridging some caps to see if I get any results....

There are 4 other numbers on the chip but they are differnt each time (checked on 4 other boards°
