Hi All
I was wondering if any one knows where I could buy the headphone and coil plugs for a Garrett seahunter markII. There are not available in Australia, and I can?t get them separate ?without the phones and coil--from Garrett?s factory.
I jut want the plugs.
Regards
Nickel

Hello nickel_n . You need a male and female amphenol waterproof connector . I can not remember if your Garrett is a 3 or 4 pin plug ? Here is one link to a local electronics outlet in New Zealand .....................Regards.......Eugene

Hello nickel_n . Good Topic question you started !!!.....Quality Waterproof headphones are a little more difficult to find at a cheap price . Aquapac is a good price , rated only at 30 feet and will keep water out of your ears . Do not forgot the Garrett machine will have a maximum depth probably of 150 or so feet . .......Others are welcome to comment .Regards....Eugene

Are you sure about that? There used to be a Garrett repair authorized center in South Australia that had parts for the Sea Hunter. I bought a new gasket from them but didn't need it. I replace the batteries about 3 years ago and the old gasket was still perfect so I used it again. I cannot remember their company name but they should be listed on the Garrett site.

Remarkably, the batteries that came with the unit were still functioning after 25 years of use and thousands of recharges. I replaced them with higher capacity batteries because I was going on a remote site and didn't want to suffer the inevitable failure that occurs whenever you count on something to work when you really, really need it to work. The law of Murphy is alive and well.
