I hope that some of you electronic guru's can help me identify some of the parts in my metal locater.  I've tried to look them up on several part supply web sights but to no avail.  I don't have access to a local part source or information.  The first parts are marked first line- Mallory second line- 005 2.5% third line-160V fourth line-SXM 250 fifth line-Ind Arg----It has a thin blue line at one end and looks like a (with clear plastic casing) foil wrapped capacitor.  Mallory shows no such part in their inventory. There is also a smaller version of the part only marked 1500 2.5% with no SXM number. I also have two can style (small) transistors marked  Mallory (logo) HEP 641  436 with locator tab, these also do not appear in Mallory parts books. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Owiefxr,

For the Capacitor here is a link to a spec sheet.  I don't think these are made any more but you can use the data sheet to come up with a compatible replacement.

Here is a link to Motorola's part for the HEP 641.

Hope this helps.  Not sure on the other capacitor, but it might be a 1500 Pico Farat with the same kind of rating for the SXM250.

A photo of the parts would help.
