Thanks for keeping up on this thread X.  I have been looking forward to building a detector from scratch, it took a while but I finally have a pi kit built and working.  One thing I was wondering as I know little about casting is, what would be a good casting medium? Could Polyurathane be a good casting medium?  I have looked at many sites but it seems Acrylic is used most often.  Did I miss something on this thread?  LOL I'm such a nube to plastics.
