hello all Waveing
i have just brought a sovereign elite and its came with a old minelab 550 dti meter,
does anyone know where i can get a diagram on modifying it to a 180 meter.
im fairly new to the hobby (8 months) and have owned a garrett ace 250, teknetics omega but now in my arsenal is a golden mask +1 18khz, ideal in the trashy areas and a minelab sovereign elite for the deeper targets and beach hunts[great]
perfect setup in my eyes...
look forward to chatting to you all and thanks in advance for tips

cheers mate Wink just hope someone can help, from what i have read so far across the tinterweb the 180 seems more precise than the 550 meter Cheesy, i always use minimum discrim when tecting in the past and always will, so any non ferrous target ill dig anyway but its nice to try and have an idea what might be coming up

Now that is Bazaar!   You post a Question on how to do something you already Done?   Or was this Vid done after you figured it out?

I'm a little slow today.

lol, ya doughnut
i couldnt find any info on how to do the mod, so i asked questions and tried to get info off the net but it took ages to get the info together, so after gaining all the info i needed to do the mod i modded my dti meter while filming and then posted it on my clubs youtube metal detecting channel mmdctv, so if anyone else was struggling to get info all they had to do was google it and it comes up with my vid,
and that is what is bizzare, i get a reply message months after i originaly asked on this forum with a how to video that i made.......
now im confussed!!!!!
the video was made after i posted the question,  Cheesy

hi sid
it would of been handy for forum members if you had added a message to your post that you had sorted yourself out and done a video etc. never mind.
i hand at one time gathered i lot of information, mods etc for the minelab sovereign range machines. not sure if i still have it all now though.

Your original message was exactly one month ago today. I can see where the confusion comes from. Your memory is a bit faulty. Not as bad as this old fellow, but catching up.

Now, what was I discussing?
