Just after switching it on, sounds like gasoline saw. With and without coil. No reaction to tunes knobs. Please give me advise where to look, how to repair. Thanks to all in advance!

Fresh Batteries ?
Has it gotten Damp or Wet?

I have very experienced friend, he repairing mainly russian MD's, so I am trying to find any information regarding Sovereign, in this moment Sovereign is on his way to my friend to another town.

That's a bit of a Problem. Minelab keeps there info tight to the vest. They even go as far as to conformant coat the PCB's or Grind off IC numbers.
