I am having a threshold problem with mine. No one will work on them in the US but maybe Minelab in Ill, in fact you can't even get parts for the old ones anymore. I wish mine were working again, I would be out detecting now if it were!

It sounds to me like battery, battery terminal problem, also check speaker or head phones wire and connectors
