Hello Stefy . There was a mod. posted for the Tesoro Compadre and I am trying to find the schematic . It was to increase the sensitivity by adding a 10K resistor to a variable resistor on the circuit board labeled VR4 . It was to increase detecting depth but you loose Discrimination on deeper targets . This modification was done to the Tesoro laser model also , because inside the laser is a compadre Revision2 circuit board !!! Regards....Eugene

The relative average depth of the Compadre coupled with the 12 Khz frequency are coin and jewellery killers.

I would NOT try to modify one., I'd bui an older Cutlass II or a Silver instead;

As it is sold, the Compadre is an excellent detector. Increasing the depth would be a mistake to my eyes, mais bon, chacun ses go?ts ...
