Purchased a small garden shovel at Lowes cost $10
Used a drimel tool with a metal cutting blade to make all the cuts
It took approximately an hour and a half from start to finish
Also used drimel to sharpen all the edges

It's a tad large for my tastes but looks interesting. Remember that heating the blade in cutting it will remove any tempering in the steel rendering it much softer than the shovel was before you made the cuts. You can temper it again if you need to. Look up "tempering steel" on Google if you need to do it.

Let us know how it works for you.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
