Best I can do at this time.    Send Us a Photo of the Switches.  I will do what I can to guide you the right way.   Are the Wires off at the Switch or the PCB?   If you was into Electronics the Schematic would lead you the right way.

I was having a look at the schematic and I can't find any switch that could cause problems. are we not talking about the on/off switch? or is it not a POT (the thing you turn to set the machine)

Without pics, the best way for me to explain is........ If looking at the front of the control panel on the outside face of the main control box(looking or facing at the knobs and switches),you would see 2 toggle switches. Both switches have wires running back and forth to each other if viewed from internally. The left switch, (being the norm/autotune select toggle,) is important in my problem,  but...I will get to that one later, being that it relates...... but THE TOGGLE ON THE RIGHT! (the switch I am primarily refering to) needs the most wires resoldierd back on. This switch, when viewed from the face again has 3 possible positions:  the bottom position being all the way pushed down is the disc mode position.... The next position up, ( or middle position), is the all metal mode..... And the top position (all the way up) is the retune switch. I'll also mention that  if the switch IS put in this top most retune position, that it has to be held there manually, or else the switch will automatically revert back to the middle or all metal mode........... Now as far as the backside( or internal view) of that switch, with the toggle pointing away from  you: there are 6 prongs….... 2 coloums of 3. Or 3 rows of 2. Depending on how u want to look at it...... Now.... u  know that there is the other leftside (autotune) toggle switch involved in this rightside (modeselect) toggle because it is tied to the middle posistion "I think" of the main mode right toggle...that is..... To say that the left  tune select switch Runs off of the right toggle by  switching to discriminate mode Ha! ... But being much more simple having only 3 points on the back is the auto tune... Now if by miracle u understood that, then maybe there's a chance ha ha! I am really starting to like  Learning a bit and now realize how crazy and awesome atoms and electricity is!!!!!
