Hi Guys

Here is a very versatile development board that I designed specifically for the designing of digital PI detectors although it can be used for any type of PIC programming and development.
You will note that there are a lot of headers on the board, these headers are so that you can connect using jumper wires the PIC's to what ever you want. For example by using a jumper on connector 15 you would be programming the 40 pin PIC or by using a jumper on connector 17 you would be programming the 20 pin PIC you can use the TX and RX pins as input / outputs or to communicate between the two PIC's. The LCD back light can be turned on by any of the two PIC's and from any of the available ports. The 4 push buttons can be connected where ever you like and should you need an extra key pad you can easily make an add on board to connect to the dev board. As I have not build this board I could not test it I would therefore strongly advice you to first check it before building it.

As they say her in the US, Xavier "You da man". I can see that his has the potential to be an extraordinary valuable tool for both detector hobbyists and PIC software developers. Way to go.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Hi guys

Thanks for the cool comments but please just check it over before building it, as I said I did not build it and there may be bugs in it.

We will X. Remember the saying about Engineers, Technicians, and Art the machinists:

Gene, Gene, made a machine.
Joe, Joe, made it go.
Art, Art blew a f*** and blew the whole damn thing apart.

We will try to be good Joe's.

It's not performing yet mate still need to build one but on this kind of design not much can go wrong, that's why I posted it.
