That's my plan.  PVC but a switch.  No Mercury switch.  I don't like the idea of it turning on by movement.   i'LL DO a rubber cover and click switch.

Sounds like a plan Homie. Schedule 20 has a thinner wall than 40, so it would be better for mounting switches.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Our    oceans are so deep here in the High Desert I may have to use a Lexen Case.

Where I live in all sand.  All Sand because at one time it was a Delta.  I can find Gold in the sands of my front yard in Micro Scopic bits.  The Mtns were all a lot taller at one time.

Right on Xavier. Clapp Keep us posted. Mine should be done soon. Need to get a waterproof switch for the calibrate function. Maybe just a regular one for now to get it going. Have most of PVC stuff now. Also have to get an adjustable drain plug for the battery compartment.
Between you, Homie and myself plus any others that are building this, we should come up with some interesting stuff.

Yes I think so mate, I'm going to be using a housing that I have on hand and a piece of PVC tubing for the coil, I may even make one that's water proof at some stage.
