Question on Headphones

Great research outback. I think the standard XP comes with wired headphones and the wireless are an option. The wireless circuit is built into the XP though so it is wireless ready. :)

If you do not have an xp then you can build one or put something together . Add a small belkin transmitter that is crystal controlled for frequency stability for less than 15 bucks and then add a nice sony or equivelant wireless fm headphone for 30 or less ............You have options ..............Me , I would build it myself and save money !!......See all the new responses to your question Bugar !! OK Eugene 52= I don't have a problem with headphone cords at all.
My headphone speaker , one of them according to my multitester shows 22.4 on resistance, the killer B specs say they are 150 ohm elements, that's about all i know.
What i was wondering about is= Uhhh, like can a small extra box be affixed, by velcro or wire ties , say to the shaft, with the new bass/treble circuit in it, to have headphone plug plug into it and it to plug into the detector, or would the unit have to be specific to a certain type or size of speakers?
Did I get something going or what ???? :o

Not an answer to your question, but an alternate suggestion:
I use Koss KPH/6 earphones - $4.96 at Wal-Mart - that have a volume control built into the cord. Great for those loud Ace-250's.
If you're hunting noisy places, you don't want these because they are the smaller Walkman-type phones (not the buds that stick in your ears, but the small padded phones). But if you're in a quiet area, these are great. They don't make your head sweat like the larger phones do, either.

Hello Bugar . You started a Great Topic !! In answer to your question , Yes. We will find you a miniature circuit , easy to build or buy !! Please be patient , I am gone all day long hours right now , so I will find or design you a mini-bass treble "adapter circuit" as soon as I get spare time .

This Topic is not easy. If your Area is noisy, get some DJ Headphones, the closed Type.
Now the Bass Treble Stuff... this is no Problem if you want an active Circuit (needs extra Batteries).
The ultimate Solution is called Parametric Equalizer. You find this in Professional Grade Mixers.
Its a bit hard to understand, you can adjust Frequency, Bandwidth and Level.
The best low-tech solution would be a passive RC low-pass/high-pass circuit.
This one can not amplify and needs no power, but it has to be matched to the headphone impedance.
I never tried this one, most Schematics on the Internet are made for the pre-amp stage and will not match a headphone.

I have Skull Candy in ear phones that have a volume adjustment on the cord as well. Works awesome with stereos and should do fine with any unit.
