Thanks guys

Been very busy getting my computer sorted out, had a virus on it, not a bad one but there was just no other way to get rid of it than resetting the computer to the way it was when it came out the factory, needless to say that all docs, programs, music, photos had to be backed up first then do a re install after all that I had to re install all the software scan all doc's and music, photos are OK. Then I had issues with my internet. Now I'm finishing all the projects that I started but never finished (3 down 4 to go) as you know I'm also studying C++ and I have a load of new design ideas so not to sure when I'm going to find the time to sleep LOL

Glad you are back Xavier. I was getting worried. I was getting ready to have someone do a welfare check on ya. Take care of your health first. The rest can wait. Like your little counter. I built one last year, just a working prototype. Then I changed the input around and made it in to a 1- 999 uS pulse width meter with a switch to measure pulse high or pulse low time. Like yours it uses common parts. Great for setting the output of a 555 if you don't have a scope. A PIC version is next.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

OK I see that the components list did not come out like I'd expected and I forgot to post the schematic so here they are.

Xavier,  I downloaded these pdf files, but adobe reader says it can't open them. I tried downloading them several times, but same thing. I noticed that next to the pdf it says 0 downloads. Maybe you can upload them to the download section.

thanks, Dusty Carl

That's strange Carl, I tested them and I can open all of them but I will upload them to the download area just the same.

They work all right for me, too. As for the 0 downloads, that's a forum error.
