Yes , I can do, the job , provided I can know the i/c used.

How do you know? Phenolic coating is nearly impossible to remove when done by someone for the first time. We used to give new rework technicians 20 boards for practice before we'd let them do a production board.

If you have never done it but just think you can, give it up. Seriously. You are wasting our time here if you can't even read a part number on an IC but believe you can replace it without damaging your board.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Like GD said you more then Likely Toasted all sorts of stuff.

Without a Schematic , you have no clue on what may or may not have gone.

You need to start  with the Required voltages being checked and you don't even have that.

I do understand your drive and willingness to try to repair it but you have no idea of the extent of the damage that can be done to CMOS devices when you reverse the power. More than likely, every single chip on your board is dead and some of your tantalum capacitors, too. Your diodes probably survived since they're designed to withstand reverse voltages.

Please understand that we WOULD help you gladly if there was a snowball's chance you could do it safely - without damage to your board. Send it back to Bounty Hunter for repair or order a new board from them. They do sell repair parts, you know. They just don't give away their schematics.

Well, the i/c as been re-moved. (I can do).
Now if some one have a RB-3 and can say the integrated number , then I can follow to try to repair.
