Hello taco92 !!!      Should not be too hard , just be careful !!

Couple photos below may help you .  Looks like the bottom side of RB7 PC board has a power switch /volume?  You should be able to figure it out , for safety make sure you have black wire [negative] and red should be positive .

Finding the big electrolytic capacitor [polarized] can be a big help ,  has minus and plus label on it .  Its a old but good machine !!!  The wires can come off the cold and very [old] solder joints real easy .
Please Make sure you use a good ohm meter to test continuity "to double check" the proper polarity configuration before connecting the batteries !!!  I think there is a RB4 schematic , I have not yet seen a RB7 schematic ?  I will look in my big vault of schematics !!

HH.................Eugene

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Hi Eugene,
My name is Phil and I am really a really new member. Your photo of the back of the cb helped me a great deal. I remembered that the black of one battery and the red of another were soldered together......but I wasn't sure.  The pix really helped.

My son bought my grandson (12 yrs old) a cheapo from harbor freight, Now, all that I have to do is fix the old bh and find a place to hunt here near Chicago.....you wouldn't have any ideas about that ....would you?
thanks  again    phil
