why go to expensive pcb soft? they have all same functions and capability.

just pcb making in your own circuit.

its not the software, its the user.

i wonder why...

If you are only making one of an item, this is fine. If you want to have a PC board made from your schematic rather than breadboard a prototype, you need schematic capture and/or board layout software. It is just that simple. You may stop wondering now.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

ram;

I read what GoldDigger1950 said, and he is right, in that respect, however, with the software, I can also print a mask, and use it any number of times. And store the mask in a filing cabinet.  Wise

I worked in a printshop, in the 60,s, and have done my own photo  printing, in B and W work, so doing photosensitised boards, is nothing new, in that respect. It is a bit simpler and less critical. Mad

He is talking about marketing the boards, or the fully built units, of whatever it may be. In that case, it is wise to have the correct, repeatable process, and to have them made professionally.

For you and I, it is probably a one time event. Amen

I could do boards, without the software, but it makes a quicker, and more accurate layout, than doing everything by hand. No no!

I am getting a charge out of using pad2pad.  Detecting
